We are seeking a dynamic General Manager who will be the steering force behind ASIA operations, spearheading strategic planning, budgeting, and the achievement of sales targets, while driving the company’s growth and expansion on a global scale. The General Manager role will support various departments—Sales, Service, Technical Support, Supply-chain, HR, Quality, IT, and Accounting—to achieve growth and objectives. The ideal candidate should possess robust leadership, management experience, commercial acumen, and international exposure. They must be an outstanding communicator, capable of motivating and leading the Shanghai team, and collaborating with American and EMEIA counterparts to fulfill global business ambitions. Responsibilities: Oversee global P&L to ensure revenue growth, profitability, cost management, while upholding high-quality standards and customer service levels worldwide Lead as General Manager to drive the organization’s high-quality operations, ensuring optimal service and profitability Establish, drive and achieve strategic goals and objectives Ensure organizational compliance with all legal and regulatory duties and obligations Manage, motivate and train employees to create a positive, skilled, and professional team Collaborate with sales to enhance analysis, revenue, and profitability, while advancing technical support and services to foster customer growth and drive new opportunities Work with HR & Quality to drive the advancement of the quality management system and company polices to ensure standards are exceeded Collaborate with Supply Chain Management team to maintain and develop supplier relationship to maximize benefits for company and minimize products and shipping costs Support Human Resource activities including but not limited to hiring, terminating, training, performance reviews, job descriptions, compensation reviews and legal issues. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Required 5+ years experience as a General Manager (or equivalent) in a company with a similar business model and customer base as Kurt Lesker Trading Company (Shanghai) Experience working in a global company, providing insights into Western and Chinese cultures, as well as foreign company business concepts Management and practical experience within technical product industries, including vacuum coating, instrumentation, engineering, electronics, semiconductors, and/or automation Proven success in managing operations within China and other Asian markets, with a focus on sales and supply chain Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a relevant field Fluent in both Chinese and English (Written and Spoken) languages Demonstrates flexibility for international travel in alignment with job demands, coupled with the capability to effectively manage responsibilities across diverse global time zones Effective communication skills with global management and teams, demonstrating a professional approach to leadership and team encouragement Preferred: MBA or equivalent education background Vacuum Technology background Powered by JazzHR
