Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Lead the development and roll out of key environmental strategic goals for Chemicals, Water and Waste for the primary supply chain, both direct and indirect suppliers. Oversee the Environmental business partner/operational topics . Key Responsibilities: Develop Chemicals, Water (including wastewater) and Waste management strategy, programs and future opportunities for suppliers to ensure alignment across supply chain. Drive and manage strategic projects, implement tools & audits, manage activities and generate reports that contribute to the goals and future vision for Chemicals, Water and Waste management in supply chain. Manage all required ESG reporting requirements and develop corresponding sourcing strategy to ensure compliance in the areas of Chemicals, Water and Waste Analyse the relevant Key Performance Indicator (KPI) to track performance of suppliers and provide business partners with clear summary on supplier performance and direction for future improvement areas in the supply chain. Engage in dialogue with third parties, including NGO, Government bodies and professional institutions to further investigate and test future concepts linked to Chemicals, Water and Waste management. Maintain updated knowledge on all relevant environmental legislation for responsible region(s) and report any updates; Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations based on legal obligations, strategic commitments and/or Social Environmental Affairs requirements. Identify training needs of in the supply chain, provide training and conduct regular monitoring and oversight to ensure suppliers meet reporting deadlines in the sustainability systems (ex-FFC, HIGG), in an accurate and timely manner. Delivering ad-hoc analysis upon request for enquiries and analysis requests. Monitor annual third-party verification process and provide guidance to the suppliers in driving improvements. Where required, conduct any additional environmental audits of factories and support them in addressing any identified issues. Manage input into the annual supplier programme assessments. Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace. Develop and coach team to ensure the best standards of performance, appropriate skillsets and strong succession plans are in place. Key Relationships: Global Sourcing: Strategic Sourcing & Sustainability, Sourcing Operations, Engineering & Manufacturing Innovation Global Operations Sustainability, Sustainable Materials Global Legal/Global Social & Environmental Affairs External stakeholder: Local & regional industry associations e.g. ZDHC Chemical groups & task teams, industry working groups, IPE/PRTR and external monitors Knowledge Skills and Abilities : Strong business acumen and understanding of current & trends of global environmental sustainability topics, especially Chemical Management, Water Consumption, Wastewater and Waste Strong ability to develop business cases, including financial implications for environmental investments Strong communication skill to simplify complex information to diverse stakeholders Strong analytics, problem-solving, project management, presentation, people and influencing skills Strong ability in leading multidimensional teams Fluent in English (written and spoken) Strong Microsoft office skills Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: University degree in Chemical, Process, Industrial, Environmental Engineering, Manufacturing (Textile or Footwear) Minimum 10 years of experience in Environment and Sustainability, manufacturing (apparel and footwear) preferable within the supply chain
