Purpose: The EHS Assistant Manager will be responsible for partnering with the market offices and Retail op erations teams in Taiwan and Hongkong to execute company health and safety , environment and energy policies and ensure compliance to all applicable global, regional, and local regulations; promote continuous improvement initiatives to achieve global 2025 targets and reduce potential safety and occupation al health/ergonomic risks in office and store daily operation ensuring a safe and healthful working environment for our employees and associates. Key Responsibilities: Handle execution of all written health and safety programs and policies as per global IMS standard and local regulations. Establish and m aintain all records and documentation in compliance with local government and ISO 14001/45001/50001 standards. Conduct risk assessment and site inspection , associate staff behaviours and processes to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate, consistent and compliant. D evelop local training matrix and content, facilitate or deliver required health and safety orientation, specific safety training and awareness sessions for all employee s. Facilitate regular safety committee meeting and management review meeting . Assist in c aptur ing , analys ing , and react ing to safety metrics /reviews and incident/near miss trends to discover patterns on areas where the safety risk is the highest. Assist in preparing required plans and appropriate site workplace operating procedures. Keep site o perations team informed of the latest health and safety regulations. Ensur e all health and safety incidents and accidents are reported within the stipulated time. Lead accident investigations, perform root cause analysis for all injuries and “near misses.” Leverage operation resources to lead continual improvement initiatives in reducing risk in processes and ensuring a safe and healthful working environment for all employees. Ensure vendors, contractors and third-party employees are compliant with global and local H&S standards. Response to all work-related injury & illness emergency in offices. Plan and implement required healthcare programs for all office employees, including but not limited to health lecture, annual health check-up, etc. Participate as site representative in global H&S programs and initiatives. Share and implement best practices. Other duties and tasks as assigned to support the organization. Key Relationships: Workplace Management in TW/HK Human Resources Management in TW/HK Store Operation Team in TW/HK Global Workplaces HSEE Team Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of safety, environmental and occupational health/ergonomic standards and regulatory that impact operations. Comprehensive and practical application of risk assessments. Must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. Spend time at the site and seek input from workplace and operation teams and head of the site on health and safety program improvement opportunities. Ensure open communication on status of progress and resolution against these suggestions. Combine strong attention to detail with an orientation towards results/execution. Experience interacting with cross functional teams. Strong coordination, organizational and communication skills. Adaptable to diverse tasks and environments. Team player, and also able to work independently. Requisite Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or above in Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Management or a related field as well as a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience Experience in developing or implementing ISO 14001 and 45001 system and process improvement in an operational environment. NEBOSH certificate or ISO 1400 1/45 00 1 systems internal or external auditor preferred. Ability to travel ( max 25 %) as required.
