Job Purpose The purpose of this position is the supporting of the commercial expansion of Alpha products into Power Electronics market in Asia, with China in focus by supporting the Laboratory functions in Pudong, Shanghai including running equipment and conducting customer builds. Job Responsibilities Be co-responsible daily running of the Laboratory in Pudong China. Be responsible to maintain 5S on the laboratory to operate safely and be able to accommodate customer interaction. Be responsible for running specific processing equipment in the Laboratory in Pudong, China. These include P&P machines, Reflow ovens, Sinter presses, Printing systems amongst others. Be capable to run specific test equipment in the Laboratory in Pudong, including Environmental test chambers, Die Shear machines, Electrical probing amongst others. Conduct periodical maintenance of Equipment-of-Responsibility, making sure that equipment is always in optimum working condition. Be able to take full ownership of a specific customer project and work on conception, implementation, and conclusion of electronic assembly projects. Conduct sample making and be responsible for conducting DOE´s for material and process improvements. Implement Alpha global best policies for power electronic assembly as directed by management. Be pro-active to implement local best practices and employ identified best and quickest solutions for product assembly. Be responsible for capturing Voice of Customer input from customers and feed-back that input to global team. Gather data through process and analytical equipment and be responsible to put into reports as requested. Provide technical support for all of NBD offering products. Support in writing technical papers, presentation, etc to support sales team. Conduct failure mode analysis routines, identify defects and involved materials and provide improvement solutions. Support R&D product development by checking performance using own machines and/or 3rd parties. Work with global team in delivering complex multi-site projects as necessary. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) or above in a technical discipline. 3-5 years working experience in the Assembly field. Knowledge of Computer Aided Design(CAD) is necessary. Be able to understand assembly designs and make own basic designs using CAD Software. Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Solidworks etc. Have good understanding of the FMEA process. Shown capacity of being to handle manual work, including basic machine assembly and disassembly for maintenance and modification is required. Good command of English and Mandarin. A self-starter with initiative and ability to operate with minimal supervision. Ability to drive project goals independently and exert influence on the organization through successful delivery of targets. Possess well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment. High integrity and ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality. Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Relevant industry Supervisory Responsibilities Possibly University interns.
