Job Description Johnson & Johnson MedTech China is seeking a highly skilled and experienced S enior L egal C ounsel to join a leading global legal organization. Th is Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing strategic and operational legal advice, supporting the MedTech China business and helping it achieve its goals, while protecting the company's rights, interests and reputation. The Senior Legal Counsel will be reporting to the VP Law, MedTech China. Main Responsibiliti es l Provides overall legal support to a large business unit and several enabling functions of MedTech China and positively influences management to make well-considered decisions and to achieve compliant success with the business. l Proactively identifies and assesses legal risks and implements policies , procedures , corrective & preventative actions and trainings to address and m itigate those risks. l Provides guidance on, and ensures compliance with, relevant laws and regulations and J&J policies applicable to the operations of J&J MedTech China, including any relevant industry association codes. l Support s new business development initiatives including due diligence reviews, negotiation of transactions and drafting/execution of deal documentation. l Manage s labor and commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and internal and external investigations. l Manages , motivates and develops a team of three legal professionals. S kills and capabilities l Strong leader with sound judgment and ability to think strategically, with a drive for compliant results . l Good business partnering skills and proven ability to counsel senior management on complex legal matters . l Client oriented with the ability to proactively connect and engage with colleagues to find practical solutions and opportunities while prudently assessing the risks involved and advising accordingly . l Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across all levels of a matrixed organization . l Comfortable working as part of a team and speaking up when necessary . l Objective thinker who is able to execute and advance ideas as well as positively influence others . l Ability to manage conflicts in an open and constructive manner . l Ability to lead by example and ensure high ethical, legal and compliance standards and to be proactive in engaging the organization to identify opportunities to enhance ethics and compliance practices and procedures . l Ability to deal with ambiguity and simplify issues for colleagues and to work innovatively and proactively . Qualifications • JD , LLM, LLB or equivalent law degree from a reputable law school • License to practice law in China ; qualification in a nother jurisdiction preferred • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese Mandarin • Minimum 1 0 years PQE • Experience working in multinational corporations, ideally with experience in the healthcare industry • Broad corporate experience and experience with advising senior leaders
