Who are we looking for ? The Purchasing Specialist executes local, site specific Sourcing Strategy and mainly focus on purchase of raw materials, finished goods, packages and services to ensure site operational needs, taking into account sourcing strategy, price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. This includes assisting in improving supplier quality and resolve elevated sourcing issues, and assisting in managing strategic supplier’s relationship. This role reports to a procurement manager and works in close coordination with operations team. What will you be doing ? Purchase materials, finished goods, components ,packages or services in line with specified sourcing strategy, cost, quality and deliver targets. Work with operations team on material purchasing plan to support production. Confirm and ensure the material quantity and delivery date to meet the needs of customers. Be responsible for indirect material sourcing and new supplier evaluation, and ensure the continuity of indirect material supply and drive cost savings. Excute procurement process,manage procurement database.Analyze procurement data and propose improvemnt measures to acheieve procurement annual cost saving goals. Lead and drive material supply process and procedure continual improvement to improve cost and productivities. Work with global strategy category team to contribute to business growth. Execution of ESI Sourcing and Purchasing Strategy at site level. Drive and proactively maintain strategic partnership development with new and existing critical suppliers. Support cargo warehousing ,storage management and GIT control on important nodes. Daily track and evaluate suppliers ’ performance(on time delivery,quality,service.etc) and prepare periodic report,work with vendor to achieve win-win target.Act as first escalation point if anything urgent or important. Coordinate with suppliers and finance on billing ,payment,and invoicing. Other works assigned by the Managers. Who are You ? Ideally you will have: 2-5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a multi-national manufacturing setting; Chemical industry experience a plus. College degree or above, major in Chemical or International Trade. Excellent on using Office software, experience with SAP and/or JDE a plus. Positive attitude, self-motivation and good teamwork ability. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, as well as negotiation skills. Knowledge and management experience of ISO9000 and ISO14000 systems is preferred. We understand that not all candidates may meet the requirements listed above.
