Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: To execute SEA work plan in supply chain which including audit/monitoring, advisory and capacity building for suppliers and social compliance project implementation. Key Responsibilities: • Support Line Manager in the execution of SEA policies and work programmes in the designated country • Audit and develop action plans for factories, to ensure compliance with the SEA standards. Similarly, supervise the external (3rd party audit) process in business partners’ factories within designated country or countries. • Assist business partners’ remediation by advising on options, negotiating timeframes, sharing experiences and best practices and helping management locate the necessary expertise, materials, etc. • Engage the adidas Sourcing staff and factory management in the designated country in order to integrate SEA requirements into the business practices of adidas • Regarding communication, convey any problems and issues to all concerned parties immediately. Provide monthly reports to the Line Manager by the established reporting date. • Communicate news, issues and initiatives which originate in the LO to the Line Manager promptly and clearly. • Keep updated on all labour and HS legislation within the designated country or countries and report any updates to the Line Manager. Review any updates with senior factory management and other SEA team members. • Establish contacts and actively engage in dialogue with local NGOs, Government bodies and professional institutions, to further the goals and transparency of the SEA programme. Key Relationships: • LO Sourcing Directors and other relevant LO function in Asia. • Supplier’s top management and their social compliance team. • Business unit managers in licensing, agents and intermediaries, where applicable • Legal Counsel or Senior Legal staff in Asia • International and local NGOs and trade unions • Government officials in the labour, social welfare, safety and environmental agencies in each of the countries within the region • Other senior managers within SEA Global team. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: • Familiar with the Labour and Health & Safety Standards (Workplace Standards and local regulations) • Familiar with adidas business operation, especially the sourcing activities in the region • Able to write clearly and succinctly in English and to get messages across that have the desired effect • Able to communicate effectively both inside and outside the organisation, on hard data and controversial topics and can commands attention and be impactful and influential • Able to skilfully negotiate in tough situations with both internal and external groups. • Able win concessions without damaging relationships and can be direct and forceful as well as diplomatic, when required Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: • University Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resource Management, Law or related Fields. • At least 6 years of progressive experience in manufacturing industry with focus on compliance, with at least three years in the area of occupational health & safety • Written Communication - is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect. • Language – Knowledge of local language and dialects in country of operation. Fluent written and spoken English. • Presentation Skills - Effectiveness in a variety of formal presentations, one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports and business partner’s factory management
