Purpose of the Position: We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Summer Intern to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the software development process and the digital operations of our company. The purpose of this role is to support our software development in creating and optimizing our software products and digital strategies. As an intern, you will assist in various stages of software development from initial concept and design to testing, deployment, and analysis. Day to Day Responsibilities: Assist in the design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of software applications under the guidance of the software development team. Conduct research to assist in the development of innovative features and functionalities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Help resolve software defects reported by support teams. Document code changes and write technical reports as needed. Project involved with: LDECO, AFR Digital Reporting Structure: Report to Yuxuan Zhang Direct reports: Education & Experience Must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a computer science, information technology, mathematics or related degree program. Experience or coursework in developing software applications is preferred. Required Skills Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++ or JavaScript. Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Desired Skills Familiarity with software version control systems like Git is a plus. Ability to learn new coding languages and technologies quickly. Previous internship or project experience in a software development role. Soft Skills Have good written and verbal communication skills in English. Effectively collaborate with cross-functional colleagues. Think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions or ideas.
