ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The Global Transport team provides the center of expertise for the global Transport network. It sets the strategy, frameworks, guidelines and provides functional expertise in network design across the global supply community and with the logistics community in the regions. It has the responsibility to identify and manage projects that deliver added value to the business in terms of Cost, Performance, Quality, Service, Compliance and sustainability in relation to Transportation, Customs and Trade Compliance. Furthermore, the Global Transport team is controlling the global freight budget and provides governance over the Control Tower Operations. In Coty we are in the middle of a transformation process which provides very interesting opportunities for dynamic logistics professionals. THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced APAC Transport and Customs Operation s Manager to join the COTY Global Transport and Customs & Trade Compliance Organization (GTC) reporting directly to the APAC Transport & Customs Operations Senior Manager. In this position you will be responsible for providing governance over the carriers and brokers services in the APAC region and supervise both inbound and outbound shipments/ customs operations. You will support implementation and standardization of work-processes, KPIs and tools. You will be responsible to deliver service and cost objectives governing and influencing internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with Logistic Service providers and factories, DCs and TPMs. You will be working very closely with the Global Transport Centre of Excellence (COE), Control Tower Management functions, customer service teams and externally very closely with our LSP’s. Key relationships in addition to the Global and Regional Transport Teams, will be with the IT community, DCs Transport Coordinators and Leaders as well as the finance, procurement, manufacturing and planning. Key responsibilities: Monitor perfect execution of APAC outbound and inbound operations through KPIs analysis, implementation of meeting systems and collaboration with Factories, DC, LSPs and control tower. Review factories, TPMs and DCs operations and collaborate with them to review KPIs and results. Collaborate with Logistic Service Providers to ensure we have needed transport capacity at right time . Provide maximum visibility of shipments to stakeholders and management team. Continuously coach control tower and service providers operations installing a culture of root causing analysis, data review and issue reoccurrence avoidance Evaluate vendor operations (e.g., freight forwarders) according to defined KPI targets. Register and coordinate solving customs related incidents. Support adherence to Coty’s global transport and customs SOPs and policies. Support the development and implementation of new logistic solutions. Monitor financial results to determine if they are in line with agreed annual targets and agreed cost, understanding and analyzing deviations where needed. Prepare required data/analyses/presentations for Monthly/Quarterly/Annually Business Reviews with LSP’s and internal stakeholders. Run analysis to support business process / tenders & Logistic Service Providers continuous improvement and projects . Communicate with LSP’s, Factories, DC's, Finance teams and other relevant stakeholders in order to obtain all required information to support creation of State-of-the-Art reporting. Occasionally lead/join project teams to support initiatives and projects . In this position you will be responsible for ensuring proper execution of transport and custom operations in your area of responsibility. In this position you are responsible to manage shipments from and to almost all countries in APAC. WHAT YOU’LL BRING Key requirements: Required educational background: B.Sc. degree in Logistics - advanced degree an advantage. Minimal 8-10 Years of relevant working experience (preferable in Multinational company –preferable experience in Cosmetics, FMCG or Global forwarding company). In depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics/transportation processes & current best practices. Exposure to transport operations and custom regulations in APAC countries. Strong analytical and fact-based problem-solving skills Result oriented attitude, capable to deliver under pressure and manage business autonomously including setting the right priorities. Excellent skills in EXCEL – VBA creation capabilities will be an advantage . Very good skills in PowerPoint and presentations. Strong team player - able to effectively and proactively act in a complex matrix organization. Innovation skills Ability to visualize his/her thoughts in an adequate way (enabling her/him to bring message across to Senior Management audience – Executive reporting) Fluent in English, another language is a plus.
