Responsible for providing leadership for daily manufacturing operations and ensuring established metrics (Production, Quality, Scrap and Cycle Time) are met. Supervises production personnel and collaborates with support functions to meet or exceed the goals and objectives of Business Unit and in alignment with those of the Plant and the Franchise. Responsible for ensuring adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures; Provides support to ongoing initiatives related to safety and ergonomics programs. Provides specific expertise to support special projects, pilot operations, product and process improvements; and also provides input to develop capital expense forecast and equipment/spare parts budgets to support business needs. Ensure that manufacturing activities are performed in compliance with Quality System and drive efforts to enhance a culture of quality and compliance. Supports rewards and recognition programs, participates in the development of employees acts as a mentor, and promotes talents. Drive Lean Manufacturing efforts, including the maintenance performance metrics, line balancing, continuous flow manufacturing, inventory reduction efforts, and good housekeeping practices. Delivers year-over-year cost improvements, including productivity improvements and reductions of defects. Plans, executes, and documents training programs for associates and ensures on-time completion of training requirements. Supports process transfers and the introduction of new products. Coordinates communication activities with manufacturing associates; Identifies and supports the relations of labor issues in coordination with HR.Responsible for supporting the investigation and implementation of corrective and Preventive actions to improve operating performance and comply with requirements of the Quality System such as NC, CAPA and OBS and others. Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area. Ensures compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) responsibilities. Follow J&J and EES Records Management Policies for Convenience Information, Records Retention Schedules, Training and Education, Document Hold Notices, Records Clean out, Inactive Records and Information Management, Vital Records and third party vendor if applicable. Provides and implements robust corrective actions to quality, safety and ergonomic risk detected in the manufacturing area. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures Performs other duties assigned as neededBachelor of Science in Engineering or other technical discipline. Fluent in English is preferred. GMP/ ISO knowledge preferred. Knowledge of operations cost, and supply chain management is preferred. Knowledge of project management and cost analysis preferred. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet analysis, data management, projects management, presentation graphics is preferred. Knowledge of information systems including but not limited to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), CAF, Quality Systems & Documentation Control Systems. 8 to 10 years' management experience in a manufacturing industry preferred. Advance management training in area(s) of expertise preferred.
