Your Job As Sr. Engineering Manager for Connected Mobility Solutions Networking Segment in China, your role will involve overseeing the engineering activities related to high-speed connectors and cable assemblies specifically in the Chinese market. What You Will Do * Engineering Team Leadership: You will lead a team of product design engineers, RF/SI Engineers, and CAD in China, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects related to high-speed connectors and cable assemblies. This includes managing workload, setting goals, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. * Design and Development: You will oversee the design and development process of high-speed connectors and cable assemblies specifically tailored for the Chinese market. This includes working closely with the team to review designs, provide technical expertise, and make necessary improvements to meet local requirements and preferences. * Technical Expertise: You should possess a strong understanding of product development cycle, Chinese automotive market requirements, connector and cable assembly, and other relevant design principles. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the team and troubleshooting any technical challenges that arise during the development process, while considering the unique characteristics of the Chinese market. * Project Management: You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to production, setting priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs. Effective coordination with cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance, will be essential. * Localization: You will work closely with the global engineering team and product managers to adapt and localize high-speed connectors and cable assemblies for the Chinese market. This includes understanding local regulations, standards, customer preferences, and collaborating with suppliers and partners in China to ensure successful localization efforts. * Continuous Improvement: You will actively seek opportunities to enhance the performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of high-speed connectors and cable assemblies in the Chinese market. This includes implementing innovative design techniques, exploring new materials, and staying up to date with industry advancements to drive continuous improvement. * Collaboration: You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as global product managers, sales teams, and customers, to understand their requirements, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction. Building strong relationships and effective communication with both internal and external partners in China will be crucial to success. Compliance and Standards: You will ensure that high-speed connector and cable assembly designs in China comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and local requirements, such as GB/T standards, RoHS, IPC specifications, and any customer-specific requirements in China. * Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate documentation, generating technical reports, and presenting project updates to senior management and other stakeholders, both locally and globally, will be part of your responsibilities. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, physics, mechatronics or other engineering discipline. * 5+ years of design experience of mechanical or electromechanical products. * 5+ Proven leadership and mentoring experience. * Chinese : Native level or at least Business Level of communication . * English : Fluent (ability to read, write, and lead technical discussions). What Will Put You Ahead * Master's degree in engineering, engineering management. * 5 years+ of Working experience in design and development of High-Speed Connectors and Headers. * Knowledge in global and local automotive connector / cable assembly requirements. * Knowledge of Chinese customers, Tier1 working style and High-Speed Connectors Chinese market trend l Working experience with global companies. * Technical expertise or understanding of signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility, communication networks and protocols.
